Pflaum Description: THE COVER OF THIS EXTREMELY RARE RELIGIOUS COMIC FINDS THE KIDS ON A ROLLER COASTER. Some children felt this was the best TC of the year, as it was the one they took home with them for Summer Vacation! The great interior has superstar Chuck White in a Baseball tale, plus Dr. Daniels, and also a chapter from Two Years Before The Mast. Most important of all, though, are the religious features. These include a story about St. Boniface and also Blessed Mother Duchesne. The Feast Of Corpus Christi is also detailed. The double-page centerfold is of "Niagara Falls." An altogether remarkable and extremely rare comic. This rarity, by the way, is presumably due in part to the fact that, although it was possible to subscribe to TC, most Treasure Chests were distributed only by Catholic nuns in Catholic grade schools. Importantly, the first "slick cover" TC was released with this issue. CONDITION: This is unquestionably one of the very best of the few surviving TC v3 #20s. It looks excellent, even though it is over sixty years old. We have counted all the pages, and it is complete. The activity pages are untouched. We grade it VERY FINE/NEAR MINT, with very readable pages (light tan edges to nice off-white page centers). It is completely unrestored. SCANS: Because this is an important comic book, we are providing large scans so that everyone can see for themselves just how nice it is. This is a great book! PLEASE NOTE that as we write this, CC's census states that CC has never graded ANY example of this Golden Age comic. Since CC has been grading comics for over ten years, that is a striking indication of just how extraordinarily rare this comic truly is. Grade:* VF Price: $185.00
